I remember
about the environmental book that I read a few years ago. There was a picture;
Dad and son was in the edge of river. I saw the color of the river was black
and across the river was builded some industries with the pollutant gases. “100
years later, you will see the beautiful garden with full of flower and
butterfly across this river and the river will clean and comprise many
fishes.” Dad said to the his son.
What’s the meaning of it? There are nothing
imposible to be optimist for our earth. Earth is our life-giving. Earth is
our home. Earth is the one and only planet that we could explore. Earth is a
palace for us. So, what are we waiting for? We have to be dare to dream for a
better days. The day after tomorrow, we could make it without any crying of
living things.
We know that earth is getting old. Human
destroy any natural source, use it over, and never think about the impact. So,
what do we get? The answer are global warming, deflation of ozone layer,
extinction of plants and animal, and the
others environmental problem. It’s like we walking to the end of the earth. Do
you know if the earth is destroyed and gone from the Bimasakti galaxy, there
are no effect for our whole world that have many bigger stars than sun and full
of sky’s things?
So, we are as a human, begin with our self,
have to work hard and do a simple thing at first. We must bring the dream into
reality. To make a smiling earth, that’s the dream. Begin it with 3R; Reuse,
reduce, and recycle are the easiest ways to help our precious planet. We need
to limit using fossil fuels. Stop cutting down the tree. Conserve natural
source like water and soil. And use public transportation for reducing the
carbon dioxide.
Earth is in
a serious condition if we are unable to act.
Let’s work together for the next generation. Let’s prove our word to
protect the earth.
Finally, I
wanna thanks for my students who work hard for the final project of biology.
The theme is Save Our Earth and all of you have done to make your creation like poster, short
story (cerpen), essay, poem or the others. And this following are some of best
creation of yours. I hope you can do best for our beloved earth.
“I have so many questions on my mind. Is it the
way how the earth delivers to reminds us? How much longer the earth tries to
remind us? I can’t believe that almost people damage the earth. How weak we are
as a human. We take all benefit and we give garbage and pollution as return to
earth.”

tak heran bumi jengkel, lewat banjirnya, gempanya, badainya, longsornya.”

melakukan ‘hemat untuk alam’ maka lakukan aksi untuk mereduksi penggunaan air,
listrik, dan SDA lainnya.”

“penjaga lingkungan”? Karena sebenarnya akar dari masalah pencemaran adalah
kita, MANUSIA.”

Together,
everyday is earth day, let's repair environment and 100 years later, we could see many butterflies in
the morning, hear the bird’s singing in the afternoon, and enjoy the flashlight
from the fireflies in the night.
